§ 4-51. Removal without permission prohibited; violation.

  • (a)

    Permission or authority required. No animal, poultry or fowl which has been picked up and impounded in the city may be removed from the impoundment area without the proper permission or authority of the animal control officer or other proper authority.

    (b)

    Violation; penalties. Anyone found guilty of violating the provisions of this section shall be punished by a fine not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300.00) or imprisoned for a term not exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment within the discretion of the court.
