§ 21-64. Grounds for revocation of tow truck permit.

  • A tow truck permit holder may have any or all of his unit permits revoked or suspended under the following conditions:

    (1)

    If, while engaged in the operation of a tow truck, an owner or operator is convicted of Louisiana Revised Statutes 14:98 (driving while under the influence of narcotics, dangerous drugs or intoxicating beverages) or Louisiana Revised Statutes 14:99 (reckless driving), or has had his/her license to drive suspended and the evidence shows that the owner knew or should have known of the probability of the above violation.

    (2)

    If it is discovered that a towing license was issued on information supplied by the applicant that the applicant knew or should have known was false or inaccurate.

    (3)

    If the owner or operator unreasonably refuses to make prompt restitution after civil adjudication for any damage caused by his failure to comply with any of these sections.

    (4)

    If the owner or an operator habitually violates any sections herein.
