§ 3-10. Prohibitions

    The mayor shall be a full-time official and shall hold no other elected public office nor any compensated appointive office or employment of the City government or any of its political subdivisions during the term of office for which elected and shall hold no compensated appointive office or employment of the City government until one (1) year after expiration of the term for which elected. The mayor shall not engage in any activity unrelated to City government business that would interfere with or detract from the performance of duties as mayor.

    B.

    Nothing in this section shall prohibit the mayor from serving as an elected member of a political party committee, Charter Commission or constitutional convention.
