§ 5-92. License required.

Any person desiring to do electrical contracting work within the city must first register with the examining board, pass the examination given by the examining board for electrical contractors and receive a license from the examining board for electrical contractors. However, the examining board may accept as evidence of the applicant's competency, a record of examination from any municipality in the parish having used the same independent testing company as used by the board, provided that the municipality of domicile of the applicant reciprocates and requires the same passing score on its examinations.
