§ 5-41. Adoption of National Electrical Code.

  • There is hereby adopted by the city for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations for the safeguarding of persons and of buildings and other structures from the use of electricity for wiring and apparatus, including permits and penalties, that certain electrical code known as the 1984 National Electrical Code recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, of which not less than three (3) copies have been and now are filed in the office of the city secretary, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and the provisions thereof shall be controlling in the electric wiring of all buildings and other structures serviced by electricity furnished within the city.
