§ 5-22. Establishment of office of building inspector; appointment; establishment of building department.

(a)

The person in charge of enforcing the provisions of the building code shall be known as the "building inspector" which title shall be substituted for "building official" wherever it appears in the building code.

(b)

The mayor shall recommend the building inspector and assistants, and each one recommended shall be voted on by the city council and elected by a majority vote of the council.
