§ 22-16. Back pressure valves.

(a)

Back pressure (backflow or antisiphon) valves are hereby required on all waterlines connecting to the municipal water system, to wit:

(1)

For all new construction, whether commercial or residential;

(2)

For all mobile homes or house trailers;

(3)

For all existing metered commercial uses;

(4)

For all other business or commercial uses and for residential uses where water has to be cut off for any reason and reconnected.

(b)

The owner or tenant will have the required back pressure valve installed at his expense before connecting to the city water system.
