§ 1-3. Catchlines and headings.

The catchlines of the several sections of this Code, printed in boldface type, and the chapter, article and division headings are intended as mere catchwords to indicate the contents of the section, chapter, article or division and shall not be deemed or taken to be titles of such section, chapter, article or division or as any part of the section, chapter, article or division, nor, unless expressly so provided, shall they be so deemed when any of such section, chapter, article or division, including the catchlines, are amended or reenacted.
